The time of business does not differ with me from the time of prayer; and in the noise and clatter of my kitchen, while several persons are at the same time calling for different things, I possess God in as great tranquillity as if I were upon my knees at the blessed sacrament…. When we fail in our duty, we need only humble ourselves before God, acknowledging our faults, without troubling or disquieting ourselves. We must then return with confidence to our practice of love and adoration. This is the remedy for all our miseries, and the means of acquiring great peace.”
